Welcome to Freedom Theatre Company! We are delighted to worship God with you
as we pursue excellence in theatre arts together. Freedom Theatre Co. wants to help
facilitate your gifts and talents in the area where you can best glorify God. So welcome!

What is it?

Freedom Theatre Company is a ministry of Freedom Fellowship and is just what it
sounds like – a theatre company. We believe in the power of Truth and that theatre is a
powerful communicator of Truth. Theatre breaks down walls and defenses and allows
the audience to engage their hearts and emotions in an experience through which the
Holy Spirit can minister.

Who is FTC?

Naomi Pointer – Director/Facilitator

Company Members – FTC is open to anyone in the congregation and community
that wishes to be involved. There is no limit or minimum to your involvement! Our
productions and events are accomplished solely through the use of volunteers who give
their time and energy.

What do we do?

  • Large productions – Sometimes these are plays, sometimes they are musicals.
    We have 3-4 slots a year that make up our season though it varies from year to year.
    One of our missions to continue to write original plays that can be published and
    performed elsewhere, always adding to theatre literature.
  • Weekly Performances – Our Sunday Morning Team performs quite regularly
    during Sunday services with various skits, dramatic scenes, and other types of
    performance.
  • Workshops – Periodically throughout the year we offer workshops and classes
    that will help train you in a specific skill or technique of theatre. Often these are
    connected with an element of an upcoming production.
  • Events – In addition to performing, we also host events, like the Princess Tea
    Party, or aid other ministries in hosting events geared towards our church and
    community, to minister and become an outreach. We are always searching for
    new ideas to combine theatre and outreach!
  • Children’s Theatre – A new element of Freedom Theatre Company is performing
    for children and families. Look for more information coming soon about this one!
  • Theatre as Needed – We also come alongside any ministry that is in need of some
    theatrical additions. Drama for mission trips; street drama with the evangelism
    team; a skit for a Women’s Ministry event, etc.

How can you get involved?

Whenever a new event or play is taking place, we announce auditions and sign ups via
Sunday service, the Freedom Newsletter, our facebook page, and email.

Theatre Relate Group – Join us for a monthly Beach Time, the 4th Monday of each month at 7pm at Freedom Fellowship.  We will share life together, pray for each other and our ministry, and look at theatre as so much more than just entertainment.
